Growing up, I was very hard on myself (and still am often!). This piece is all about looking back at our younger selves with gentleness and kindness. The mulberries are a nod to a big beautiful mulberry tree in my grandma's yard. I also included feathers that I used to collect and the white irises that bloomed near my school.
